      Macmillan Coffee Morning 2021

      Macmillan Coffee Morning 2021

Each year we select several charities to support throughout the year. One that we have chosen is Macmillan Cancer Support, through their annual coffee mornings.

In 2020 we were unable to hold one, so were keen to make this year’s a big success.  On Thursday 23rd September we all met at the office, where we set up outside to sell the amazing array of cakes we had all baked. At least we know we could set up a Tea Room if we run out of tenders to write!!

In addition to the cakes, we also had a raffle which we drew on the morning with prizes including gin, wine, chocolates and biscuits.

We were truly grateful to everyone who popped in for cake, brought raffle tickets or just donated as they couldn’t get down to see us – you all helped us to achieve a fantastic £560 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

The money that we raised will all go to Macmillan to contribute to the amazing job they do in supporting people the best way they can.  Our money will go a little way to helping – if you would like to find out more about the work they do, please visit their website

      What does your money support?

£71 could help run their Online Community forum for over 3 hours. Typically, that would give nearly 198 people affected by cancer both emotional and practical support.

£100 could pay for a person affected by cancer to attend a health and wellbeing event, providing them with skills to improve the management of these areas in their lives.

£350 could pay for a Macmillan grant that helps a family affected by cancer take a holiday and enjoy precious time together.

If you would like to donate, then there is still time! Please follow this link to our fundraising page
