    Client Description: Our client is a family-run construction company established in 2010, whose directors have more than 30 years’ experience in the business. The company specialises in building and refurbishment work within the health, education and commercial sectors.

     

    Problems Faced by Client – Why did they need our help?

    The client had always worked within the health and education sectors but wanted to tender for larger contracts. While they knew they could do the work, they felt that writing the formal responses that fully answered the specification wasn’t their forte.  They approached Bid and Tender Support to find out what we could do for them in relation to a sizeable refurbishment contract in a large London hospital.  After the client accepted the quote, Bid and Tender Support held a kick-off meeting with them to gather information and to highlight any gaps in the information that they would need to provide, such as policies and a programme of works.

    We also did a mini-interview to find out what they actually do, in order that we could respond to the quality questions asked.

      

    Services Provided – Meeting their needs

     We identified the information necessary to answer the Supplier Qualification Questionnaire (SQQ) and ensured it was labelled and numbered correctly for submission. Armed with information that the client sent through and the interview notes, our bid writers completed the quality and technical questions in line with the tender specification. We then sent the files through to the client to check the information was accurate and that they were happy with it. Once we received the approved sign-off , we gave it a final proof-read and submitted all the documentation on the tender portal.

     

    Outcome of our Work – Improved Win Rate, Gained Accreditation etc

    As a consequence of using Bid and Tender Support’s service, the client has gone on to win work with several NHS Trusts and Local Authority contracts. Now that the partnership between their technical ability and our bid writing skills is established, we know what they do and we can answer technical and quality questions with full knowledge of their company gained over several tender submissions.
