      About This Project

      With a long standing relationship spanning over 4 years with a local based Grounds Maintenance business, they rely on our bid writing support services on a monthly basis. In 2019 alone we supported them on over 50 tenders in 2019, with a 90% win rate The majority of their tenders are public sector for housing associations and councils, however they recently needed our support on a large private sector tender submission which was key for them to win. With three lots to provide individual submissions for and over 15 individual written questions there was over 100 pages per lot to write.

      Due to the number of tenders we have previously worked with them on, our knowledge and bid library is very comprehensive and put us in the perfect position to support in writing the responses.   With the commercial/private side of the business, tendering is less common so we were able to support the Team in navigating the process and ensuring everything complied with the rules and instructions set out. All content written for the public sector needed to be repositioned to suit the nature of this work. The challenges, added value and initiatives sought by the client were quite different to those set out by councils.

      To kick off the process as we were working  with a different team to normal, our initial meeting was on site to discuss the overall response, key USPs, win themes, value for money initiatives and overall approach to completing the tender. Following on from the meeting we put a timeline in place and a list of all the information we were missing following the initial discussion.  Working alongside the Corporate Sales team we completed a full set of first drafts to send to them for review and following this set up a number of conference calls to share feedback, make amends and review and sign off final content for upload.

      On final sign off, our team uploaded all the documentation onto the portal, these are notoriously difficult to navigate so our experience enabled us to do this quickly and correctly. Since the final submission we have supported our Client with further clarification questions and provided a Final Summary document of 10 pages to accompany a Best and Final Offer (BAFO).

      We are waiting for final confirmation from the client on whether they have secured the contract but discussions have been progressing very well.
