For the 2020/21 Condition Improvement Fund application period, we worked with one of our clients to help support them in the construction and reviewing of a selection of their bids. Our role was to check the use of best practice and feedback areas for improvement.
The Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) is an annual, government funded, bidding round for eligible academies, sixth-form colleges and non-diocesan VA schools to apply for. The priority for the fund is to address significant condition needs, keeping education provider buildings safe and in good working order. To address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition to ensure the school is compliant with regulations.
Our client conducted on site surveys and from the information gathered at site survey must then construct a compelling bid to demonstrate works required and secure funding. Our role was to ensure the reports are written with a compelling argument and evidence of the condition of the building to convince those awarding funding of the necessity of works against perhaps others who were also applying. We checked the report met with the requirements of CIF. With all supporting evidence and information the reports can end up around 22 pages long.
With the 2020/21 CIF Funding just announced we were delighted to find out our Client secured over £12million in funding for projects a 100% increase on their previous year’s performance.
