About This Project

Size: Medium

Client Description:

A charity offering support to Children under the age of 18 and their families who have been diagnosed with Cancer.  The charity was set up by Henry’s parents in his memory.  The aim of the charity is to offer hope, help children to dream big and believe in a better future.

Problems Faced by Client – Why did they need our help?

This charity is local to us and we were made aware at the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic that they were struggling to raise funds with most of their fundraising activities being put on hold for the foreseeable future.

Most of the children they support fall into the highly vulnerable category and the need for support for families during this time is greater than ever.   Their support has changed in part-from offering opportunities and fulfilling dreams to helping support weekly needs in the form of care packages vital to those families.

While there are a number of grants available for charities to apply for the charity did not have the time or resource to apply for them and be sure of a positive outcome.

Services Provided – Meeting their needs

We offered to support them in researching appropriate funds and writing the required applications, in order to raise vital funds.

Firstly, we set about looking for opportunities they could apply for, a number of the grant programmes have closed or changed their requirements due the Covid-19 situation.

After finding suitable grants and setting out a timeline as when they open and close, we have worked through a number of applications with the charity.

Outcome of our Work – Improved Win Rate, Gained Accreditation etc

We have successfully completed the first grant application and have two more that we are working on. We are awaiting the outcome of this first application.
